RailONE: SOGET Expands the Scope of S ONE and Brings Le Havre and Bordeaux Closer by Rail

SOGET announces the successful completion of RailONE operational pilots, marking a major milestone in the digitalization of customs-controlled rail freight transport between Le Havre and Bordeaux.

A new step forward in customs digitalization

These operations brought together key players across the logistics chain:

  • MSC, shipping company and flow orchestrator,
  • TNMSC, port terminal operator in Le Havre,
  • Naviland Cargo, rail freight operator and manager of the IST customs warehouse in Bordeaux,
  • Clasquin,
  • ULIX.

RailONE represents a strategic extension of the S ONE platform.
With RailONE, SOGET takes a new step forward: the solution is no longer limited to maritime operations and the Seine corridor, but now extends the functional scope of S ONE to inland rail freight corridors.

Julien Prével,
Chief Executive Officer of SOGET:
“With RailONE, SOGET is extending the scope of S ONE to rail transport and further advancing its vision of a fully digitalized multimodal logistics chain. I would like to thank all project partners, as well as the customs authorities, for their support throughout this pilot initiative.”

End-to-end digital continuity under customs supervision

RailONE enables:

  • The digitalization of data exchanges required for customs-controlled rail transport,
  • Seamless digital continuity between the maritime terminal, rail transport, and inland warehouse,
  • The postponement of certain customs clearance procedures until the destination warehouse,
  • End-to-end visibility of goods moving under customs supervision.

By orchestrating these pilot operations, MSC was able to monitor customs-controlled cargo from Le Havre to its final destination in Bordeaux through a fully digitalized environment.

Towards an Integrated Logistics Platform

This pilot project marks a major milestone: S ONE is evolving into a structured multimodal digital platform that spans the entire logistics chain, extending beyond the port ecosystem to fully integrate rail and inland transport dimensions.

Massamba N’DOYE,
Director of Operations at Naviland Cargo:
“These pilot projects demonstrate the value of digital continuity between port, rail, and logistics stakeholders. Thanks to RailONE, information exchanges are streamlined, while customs operations gain greater visibility, coordination, and efficiency across the entire Le Havre–Bordeaux corridor.”

A competitive advantage for french logistics corridors

RailONE contributes to:

  • Smoother exchanges between stakeholders,
  • More secure customs-controlled operations,
  • Faster processing times,
  • Increased modal shift towards rail transport.

A secure framework for customs formalities

These pilot operations demonstrate the ability of the Le Havre and Bordeaux logistics ecosystems to collaborate around a common digital framework, strengthening the competitiveness of French logistics corridors.

Jérôme Gautraud-Feuille,
Regional Director of Customs for Le Havre:

“Customs authorities are delighted to support the development of multimodal transport through rail and to contribute to strengthening the attractiveness of the Port of Le Havre. This outstanding project actively supports the port’s decarbonization efforts while ensuring customs control and cargo security from the point of unloading through to the final destination.”
