SOGET, partner in the digital transformation of African ports

From May 26 to 28, 2025, SOGET participated in the Africa Ports Forum, held in Libreville (Gabon), alongside key players in the African port sector.

This major event provided an opportunity to share the progress and ambitions of the continent’s ports on strategic themes: modernization of port infrastructure, regional integration, digitization of logistics chains, sustainable development, and decarbonization.

On this occasion, SOGET presented its digital solutions for the competitiveness and efficiency of logistics communities: Port Community System (PCS), Port Operating System (POS) and Single Window for Foreign Trade.

Our presence in Africa, which began in Gabon in 2007, illustrates our long-term commitment to the modernization of foreign trade on the continent.

In partnership with the Gabonese Shippers’ Council (CGC), we recently deployed BIETC V2 (Electronic Cargo Traceability Identification Slip), an innovative solution that integrates:

• Automated invoicing;
• Real-time shipment tracking;
• Interoperability with electronic payment solutions.

Designed to cover all modes of transport (maritime, air, and lake) and interface with Gabon’s future Single Window, BIETC V2 is part of a structural digital transformation process.

The Africa Ports Forum confirms the importance of digitalization in strengthening the performance, resilience, and regional integration of African ports.
