SOGET and the Port of Lomé: a partnership serving a leading African maritime hub

During his recent trip to Togo, our CEO Julien Prével had the pleasure to meet Togolese authorities, key operators at the Port of Lomé, and institutional stakeholders.

Since the installation of SOGET’s one-stop shop in 2013, the port of Lomé has experienced a spectacular growth, with a 400% increase in overall traffic, from 6.5 million tons to over 30 million tons, driven by a major digitalization program that has supported the Togolese government’s reforms.

Today, the port is ranked among the world’s top 100 ports for container traffic, occupying 92nd place in the Lloyd’s List ranking, with growth of more than 8% in container traffic, exceeding the 2 million container mark and entering the top 5 largest African ports.

Meet up the teams from Seguce Togo, our long-standing partner, was a highlight of this meeting. It allowed us to reaffirm our commitment to continue this collaboration in the service of the Togolese authorities, supporting ports and airports in their digital transformation strategy and strengthening Togo’s foreign trade performance.

SOGET is proud to contribute to this success. History must continue to allow Lome’s port to establish itself has an essential hub of African maritime trade thanks to digital innovation and public-private cooperation.

In the same spirit, Corporate Social Responsibility policy of SOGET in West Africa aims to create true opportunities for young people and to favor local employement around our one-stop shop.

At SOGET Academy, we develop training programs for support and practical internships to allow new generations become part of the digital port and logistics economy while suporting local economy.
