SOGET welcomes the Ministry of Maritime Economy of Benin

    A few months after the Port Community System project go-live in Cotonou, Benin, SOGET welcomed the Minister of Maritime Economy to its headquarters in Le Havre, France. The Minister wanted to meet with SOGET's team and with French Customs, as well as, visit the Port of Le Havre's infrastructures. He congratulated SOGET team members for their dedicated work on the PCS implementation in Cotonou.

SOGET and Bureau Veritas at African Ports & Maritime Conference

    This year's conference's theme is: “Ports & Logistics: A Vision for Future Integration”.

    Pascal Ollivier, Director of Corporate Development will held a speech on Concession Framework to implement and operate Port Community System.

Cotonou's Port Community System official Go-live

    SOGET and its strategic partner BUREAU VERITAS launched today in Cotonou, Benin's PCS, under the authority of Mr Boni YAYI, President of the Republic of Benin.

    SEGUB, the Semi-Public company created with BUREAU VERITAS and granted by Benin’s government a 10-Year long concession, implemented and operates this electronic platform facilitating import-export and transhipment processes of Benin.

    BUREAU VERITAS –SOGET team supported by Benin team and Port Community Stakeholders of Cotonou, allowed extending the use of the PSW to all the stakeholders in a record time after a Beta test phases started on the 1st of July.

SOGET and Microsoft exhibit at the 100th AAPA Convention in Seattle

    SOGET, along with its strategic partner Microsoft Corp., was taking part to the 100th AAPA (American Port Authority Association) annual Convention held from 11th to 15th September 2011 in Seattle. AAPA represents more than 160 Port Authorities from Latin America, Caribbean, North America and US.

    SOGET, sharing Microsoft's booth was able to present the very first module of next generation of Port Community System under SOGET's E-maritime Project: a TAS (Truck Appointment System). Developped on Microsoft Cloud Computing technologies. This TAS is the 1st module of SOGET's e-maritime project .

CMI and SOGET announce technical cooperation on Maritime and Logistics higher education and research

    Fritz Pinnock, Executive Director of CMI and Pascal Ollivier, Director of Corporate Development of SOGET announced today in Kingston, a technical cooperation between both organizations to facilitate capacity building for the membership of the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC).

    CMI and SOGET will partner to deliver content of the CMI’s Masters Degree in International Shipping and Logistics and to develop research on Caribbean Ports. A first module on Information Technology and Port Community System will be launched in 2011 for PMAC members.
